Beth did an amazing job with the talent she had this year, but in the end, power hitters are becoming more & more of a necessity to compete. I believe she knows who to recruit, and I am confident this staff has the ability to 'coach up' the girls as well...

Pretty sure the girl from sam Houston could argue with that statement.

Baylle Cobello 2013 from Sam Houston is LSU commit, also Baileey Landry 2013 from East Ascension and Taylor Lockwood 2014 from Walker. Corbello is reigning Gatorade player of the year in La and Landry and Lockwood are both outfielders with 2.5-2.6 speed home to first. Beth is heading in right direction.

"She is not my daughter, however mine is a teammate of hers. She was 3A MVP in Sulpher for her pitching. She out performed every pitcher in the state this past year. Just tired of seeing Louisiana talent leave the state."

First let me say, congrats on that state title.

I have seen her pitch. She is talented, but the state of softball in Louisiana is not nearly as good as it is in some other states. Buckeye should be good this year again with her returning, but pay attention to how she does on the travel ball circuit (out of state that is. PGF/ASA Nationals/big Showcase tournaments). That will give you more of an idea of where her talents stand. While a 61-62 mph fastball is good in HS where everyone gets to play, it's not getting the job done in the SEC. That is below avg speed, and anyone throwing fastballs at this level, won't be there long......

Corbello is strong LSU commit. After decommitting from ULL, ull pulled offer from one of her travel ball teamates....Classy. Both Landry/Lockwood run 2.8 when they stumble, very fast girls that put ball in play. For big time ball all talent cant stay in La. and I want to see every girl acheive their goal no matter where it is (no matter if they drum us in school ball or not). There are certain people starting big recruiting camps down south. The Gulf Coast Exposure Camp in August was great Coaches from big time schools worked it( LSU, Okla., Arizona, Arkansas, Miss. St) with some other schools in attendance. Things like this are what is needed to get our girls seen. Good luck to all girls putting in the time and dedication and the parents for their time and dedication.

I was there at gulf coast...lockwood was saying she was about to have major shoulder surgery. The catcher on my travel team timed faster than lockwood on several occsisions including gulf coast and she runs 2.7/2.8..she is a great player though. Corbello was originally going to LSU but they didnt want to give up scholarship $ so she went to ULL. 4 days later LSU offered 50% $ and she comitted ...this from dad

Was also at GCEC, David Lastrapes and Mike Stith do a great job and any time they are associated with anything you should go. Their contact list of college coaches is rediculous. Are yall playing any fall ball? Would love to watch your catcher. We may be in need. Not trying to recruit her just love giving girls exposure. Will be in Gulf Shores this weekend. Later this fall Ronald Mcdonald, Atlanta, and possibly Ft. Lauderdale.

Corbello is a solid player. As for pitching, the kid from Tx and the one from Cali are tremendous talents. Beth has shown an ability to get the most out of good pitchers, so the staff should be solid for years to come.

As for Lockwood, I haven't heard she was having surgery. That sucks. Great ball player & an even better kid. Hopefully it is nothing she can't bounce back from quickly. I know the article in the local paper had her clocked @ 2.67 H-1B. For a slapper that is rolling. 2.5's is blazing, but if your running 2.7 out of high school, the access to better weights/training will shave it down. Does anyone have stats on Heyward/Andrews or Boulet to compare it to?

Just got back from beaumont. Going to ronald mcdonald and 3 exposures in Dallas

She is playing for intensity in the fall and is the catcher for Megan Lively at Neville...shes a jr.
Not your normal catcher...power slapper led Neville in s/b avg. obp as lead off

Which team in Beaumont?

I see LSU just received a verbal from the SS (2015) for the Sudden Impact. Did anyone watch, or play against them this past weekend?
