So many great scenes in LOTR.

Acting is phenomenal, Music is even better than the acting, attention to detail is greater then both music and acting together.

Randal Graves: Oh, I'm crazy? Those frickin' hobbit movies were boring as hell. All it was, was a bunch of people walking, three movies of people walking to a fricking volcano.

Randal Graves: That look was so gay. I thought Sam was gonna tell the little hobbits to take a walk so he could saunter over to Frodo and suck his fricking cock. Now *that* would have been an Academy Award worthy ending.
Hobbit Lover: Hey ****, they're not gay! They're hobbits!
Randal Graves: And then, right after the Sam/Frodo suckfest, right before the credits roll, Sam fricking flat out bricks in Frodo's mouth.

I can't believe the hate towards LOTR.

I don't cream my pants when it comes on TV (long movies + commercials don't mix), but I would love to watch the trilogy again.

Never seen an entire movie. But always laugh when I see the elf slide like Fred flintstone.

And occasionally stopping to talk about ridiculously stupid shite.

The Kiwis I know couldn't wait to get the frick out and come to a real country.

Maybe creaming shorts was a bit far, but if you guys can't appreciate what LOTR accomplished then you should....GTFO?

What exactly did it accomplish?

It's not like it had anything groundbreaking or genre-defining. It didn't change the way movies are made.

It's just three movies about guys walking to a volcano. As Randall said.

I feel sorry for the people that only get "three movies of walkin" out of LOTR.

Yep, no action in them whatsoever.

Better than a trilogy about family issues in space.

There are different types of action. Especially in the dramatic sense.

But the "action" scenes in these movies are far inferior to others. They don't compare to Braveheart, Kingdom of Heaven, Seven Samurai, etc.

The action in these films is pretty ho-hum. It looks pretty, but that's it. It's not exciting. Especially when the ghost army arrives.
