Can we expect this one to be an ESPN or ESPN2 night game? Hope we can host the HuskPups under the lights.

Well it isn't an SEC game. So yes. I would book for ESPN 2.

Maybe even ABC. Do they still have a PAC-10 deal?

Being that a large portion of the viewing audience for this game is on the west coast, I have to believe they will try to make it a night game.

ESPN has only announced
Illinois at Arizona State 9:30 CDT ESPN (HD)

so far as night games that day.

ESPN2/ESPNU should slot should be open.

ABC already has a daytime doublheader for Sept 8th and probably will not do a night game. They skip football one Sat night a year for car racing.
It is going to be ESPN2

Does any one on the west coast really care about Washington football?

Most people in Seattle didn't even know what was going on with all the LSU fans.

So CBS might show it at 2:30?

CBS doesn't start their SEC/Football coverage until the next weekend, this year Sept 15. due to their U.S. Open Tennis coverage.

We ate at the "Crab bucket" (IIRC) on the water front and the waitress asked us what was up with all the LSU fans.

So, there's a distinct possiblity that Illinois/AZ St. get the mothership, while LSU/UW is relegated to ESPN2? Makes sense. And, yes, I realize that almost all tv packages that include ESPN also include ESPN2.

I really have no idea. I actually didn't look to see what other competing games there were. I assumed ESPN 2 because I didn't think that LSU/UDub would be the premiere game that day.

I'm going to be at the game, so except for DVR purposes, it doesn't matter to me which station it airs on.

ABC doesn't have rights to SEC home games.

ESPNs earlier game that night will be Florida at Texas A&M or Georgia at Mizzou. ESPN2 will take the game that ESPN does not PLUS Wash at LSU. ABC already has Penn St/Virginia at 11am and USC/Syracuse at 2 30

This. ABC is already covering the NASCAR race at Richmond that night, so it won't be on there.
