From what I've heard he's a super athlete that plays the point with the ability to take anybody to the hole. Sounds to me like what we need from a player that may be there at the 10 pic, and I always like hearing super athlete when it comes to basketball, and just not big on Austin Rivers at all

I honestly don't know, and you really never know how prospects will turn out, but I see Waiters as a 6th man. He's a scoring spark that can come in and play either guard spot.

I know this is a message board and it's fun to talk about but no matter what we do, I will not be upset. If we trade it, draft Rivers, Lillard, Waiters, Zeller, etc. I will be happy because Demps is a boss.

I think most people would be ecstatic if he fell to 10, because he's probably gonna go before then.

Sure seems like he won't make it to 10. I like him and Lamb about the same, both are a step up from Rivers IMO.

Part of me wants him and Lillard REALLY bad..

Part of me doesn't want to draft a PG because I think Vasquez can be good enough

The only ways I will be upset is if we trade 10 for a Posey-esque player to "put us over the top" (I doubt this is the case based on yesterday's trade) or Demps goes completely out of left field to show how smart he is and picks Evan Fournier or something (who I wouldn't mind, at 26).

Yeah, most at this point think Waiters will go before us. If that's the case, we KNOW the following will go before us:

AD, TRob, Beal, Barnes, Waiters, MKG. Everyone else is fluid.

I don't believe they have him taken before 10 in any mock draft I've seen online.

Waiters? Yeah those mocks are behind the times. Rampant speculation from the national types that he's going top 10, easily.

If he goes top 10, what are the chances lillard or drummond fall to 10 then?

He's getting hyped because one team said they would take him in the lottery. That rumor has boosted his stock.

For about three weeks before the NBA Combine, where Waiters was given the promise, Chad Ford had him going 8th to Toronto.

Waiters has been receiving the hype for a good while now.

What would have to happen is Zeller at 7, Waiters at 8, Henson at 9 then Lillard falls to 10.

Portland will get their choice of Lillard or Drummond at the 6.

If Lillard isn't picked at 6, he should be there at the 10 barring something very strange.

If Drummond isn't picked at 6, he has to get past Detroit at the 9 spot which is looking for a center to pair with Greg Monroe.

Also if Henson is available at 10, do we take him? I haven't seen too much of him but the highlights I've seen look like he could be a good center
