Screw that.

No way in the world I'd mess with those things.
Man if I would've stopped fricking every time a girl said, "That's not it", I would've never learned to frick like a world champion.

Stick your finger in his mouth. He'll let go when it thunders.

I had one net full of bream. Meant to take picture but was in a hurry to get them in cage to keep alive for bait at the river.

One trap had 20 strippers/cooters. W, I had told you 18 but noticed on recount there were 20.

The place I caught them is a clean up job a guy asked me to do in his pond so, as you can see by the bullet holes....they must die.

Don't want to hear shite, this place ain't for pussies.

I did have two in one net. Only other time I ever caught snapping turtles in my nets, I had two also.

W, you mentioned them being tough or something in reference to them staying alive a couple of days in a bucket.

They'll live long. I keep mine in these big lick tubs the farmers supplement their cows' diets with.

It purges them and after a couple of days the algae and shite comes off of their shell. I guess from the chlorine. I'll toss them some lettuce and/or ham or minnows to feed them a bit.

You'll have to change the water a couple of times. They dirty it very quickly the first couple of days- especially.

Awesome results! There are people in China crying right now over the cooter slaughter.

Frick em.

Cool photos too. You've now caught more than I have.

Funny thing about nets is that you'll either have a snapping turtle OR red-neck/strippers/etc. Whatever gets in first.

I guess snapping turtles are a bit arrogant like specklebellies...they don't mix with the underclass.

Not a dam snapper this morning. Had one net with about 12 big arse striper-ears.

Feast or famine.

The farmer who lets me access one place I set picked up one crossing the road the other day while he was going to check a field on his 4-wheeler.

Another farmer a mile away was digging out a ditch with a backhoe and caught 5. I'm like wtf?!?!

I'm heading back home in a couple weeks and getting me some. Yall done gave me the itch for a turtle sauce picante. There is a big stagnant ditch running through our property a ways back behind the house and last time my uncle went through there cleaning it up on the backhoe he found them by the dozens. I think the gizzard on the stake is going to be my method of choice.

VP as in Ville Platt or Vermillion Parish? Not that it matters, I don't know any family members from either. I know Houma and Thibedeaux are full of em though. I'm a St Landry boy myself.

W- yea I think that would be one advantage . Of course you'd have to eat a lot of turtle bc the minimum wage won't buy no rib eyes
