Not sure about that, but living in Texas, I did want to pass along that I watched a special promoting the upcoming magazine, Texas Football, on Sunday night. It included the All-Texas Super Teams. Prevot (pronounced Pre-voe) is only listed as weighing 200, but is a first team defensive player as a linebacker. Others that LSU has offered and or is still recruiting were also mentioned, including Ricky Seals Jones and Justin Manning. They called RSJ a Texas commit, but the program may have been taped a few weeks ago before his apparent decommit.

Gino said in an article recently .... Talking about another player at Prevot's school ... "a coach for his high school team also played under coach (Brick) Haley. Cedric Hardeman is the assistant coach." I summarized it a little.

Also, we were the first school to offer him. Via ESPN so who knows.

Makes sense. If this connection is there, that could be exactly why our coaches may have seen his film first. It sure can't hurt.

Some Texas fans say the only reason A&M is in the picture is because Torrodney has an uncle that "has a really good relationship with the Aggy staff", whatever that means.

When Texas loses out on a recruit, it seems like there's always an uncle involved.

Texas seems to think, it is their inherent RIGHT, to get any player they want....in the Longhorn fold.

After that process is ocmpleted, then the rest can fight, "over the scraps."

Fact is, Texas gets the majority of "higher rated," and fail to develop that talent, most of the time. Kids and parents can see through this "process," more and more and more...

Texas is the only program in the country that recruits cleanly, everyone else is dirty and pays

Agree. At one point Prevot's uncle was all LSU now he has an uncle that is pushing TAM. It's possible both are true but it's awfully coincidental. One of his uncles is running his recruitment and I have heard from numerous people(some Texas, some LSU,some TAM) that he does have an uncle that has pushed LSU but I don't if it's the same uncle. Honestly it just seems to be one giant clusterfrick from my view. He'll go where he goes and I don't care how it happens or who pushes him where as long as nothing negative comes out about LSU from any of them.

Bama is also becoming the only other program in the country that recruits cleanly

Now when a kid loses interest in them, they start dropping hints about handlers. Not to mention constantly accusing AU of bad practices when in reality they have been flipping AU's recruits, but it couldn't be because they're giving better deals

When I saw the A&M uncle comments I went back and looked for the LSU uncle comments because I thought I had seen them both on the same site. Wasn't able to go back that far in their archives.

I'm not sure how involved this uncle that's advising him is, but I think Prevot likes LSU a lot. He's got a teammate and another good friend in the Houston area committed to A&M, so he'll keep listening to them. He was all longhorn early on until the longhorn coaches dropped the ball by not contacting him much during the spring eval period and not making him a priority. Longhorn fans can bitch all they want about the "dirty' uncle, but they only have their program's coaches to blame if they really want him and don't get him.
