Grand Isle Fishing Advice
Posted by DaBigDogg on 6/15/12 at 9:41 pm00
Me and the family are renting a camp on the beach in late July. I haven't been to GI since I was very young. I see from the pics of the camp that there are some rocks along the beach in the background. Is the fishing any good along the beach there near those rocks? Any help would be appreciated.
There are rocks on the West side of Grand Isle, rocks on the North (bay) side of Grand Isle, rocks on the South (gulf) side of Grand Isle on the Eastern end of the island, and rocks on the East point of Grand Isle.
Just messing with ya. But yeah, if you can get out to them. Rocks are excellent structure to find fish around. Be careful with the kids and the undertow out there. I recommend using a float basket and not a stringer if you will be surf fishing.
