Not going to Omaha in 3 years, hosting a regional one, and only making one super regional (which you lose at home) is nothing to be too excited about.

Was a great job winning the SEC after reducing the teams ERA by an entire point because of hiring Dunn. But to dismiss the importance of the hitting coach is just troubling

I don't judge the success of any LSU baseball season by an SEC championship. Football or basketball, yes. But the baseball program, as a whole, is well past the point of trying to justify failing to make Omaha by pointing to an SEC regular season championship.

Maybe he was saying the hitting coach as in Javi is over rated not the coaching position itself. Well we can only hope that is what he was saying.
