Kinda-sorta update of recent happenings on page 2.

Where do Parise and Suter go? Does Marty come back? Where do Luongo and Nash end up? Is there any way Yakupov is not selected No. 1? What will happen with the CBA expiring?

We will find out all these answers and more over the next month or so.

Caps better do whatever they can to land one of those guys. They're a top 4 d man and 2nd line center away from being right back in the thick of things. Oh and they need a coach who lets the superstars run. If they promote Evason I'm going to flip shite.

I think they're fine on depth actually. Maybe another 20 goal scorer wouldn't hurt. But the 3rd and 4th lines seemed to do their job this playoffs Once you get that 2nd line center you can assemble a little differently.

As a Rangers fan, I second this

The Rangers don't need another guy like Callahan, they need another guy that can score. Besides, Parise will demand too much money, and I don't think he'd stand out on a team with as much talent as the Rangers have. He stood out with the Devils due to the lack of talent around him.

Suter signs with Detroit. Luongo is traded to Tampa.

Melrose just said this shows a team like the Jackets aren't far away from the Stanley Cup!

(I'll have some of what he's having...)

Put me in the camp of Edmonton tries to trade down. They need defense. Lots of it.

For sure he makes total sense as a Lightning. I don't think Chicago is ready to give up on Corey Crawford. And Luongo as a Maple Leaf would be a total disaster.

If Edmonton trades down, then Nail will definitely be No. 1. What could be interesting is if Edmonton doesn't can't trade down/doesn't want to take the risk of trading down and potentially losing Murray, and so they just take him No. 1, leaving Nail to us (dream scenario).

Kris Versteeg
AK 46
Penner (no way we get him, but it's a wish)

I don't want any part of:

Green
Rolston
Roszival

I think this ship has pretty much sailed since the deadline, but Nash?

Parise will be a Red Wing, I think most will be shocked if he isn't. Maybe even Suter too. Wings are out to spend a lot of money this offseason.

Wish list for my Pens:

Defense
Defense
Moar Defense

Reminds me of Brad Richards, Bernie Nicholls, Eric Lindros, and every other high priced player we have signed in the last 30 years. Have a great core right now why F it up?

In kind of a sick way I'd love to see the Islanders get Nash - miss the banter with those chuckleheads.

The Islanders have some interesting pieces that could come back (namely the #4 overall and Nino) but I highly doubt Nash would waive his NTC to go there.
