For a very brief period, I worked at J Alexanders and they had a fantastic key lime pie...and I don't even like key lime pie...

Forgotten about that. What about Twin Peaks?

J Alex would be a consideration too.

Best in BR, hands down, is Suckers on College. Housemade, incredible.\

They closed shop, but said they still do catering, so you can prob get one to go.

Excellent suggestion Supa.
Wife & kids enjoyed the place too. The key lime pie was tasty. They do unexpectedly blend in a little bit of pecan into the graham crust for their recipe signature. But no complaints. They filling and home made tasting whipped cream was top notch.

I was going to say J. Alexander's too! The manager brought it to us and it was delicious! I can't think of anywhere else in BR who has it.

True dat, but it also doesn't hold a candle to a slice enjoyed in Key West. There's just something about that...

I'm sure some fresh off the tree Key Limes would make an amazing pie.

One thing I learned in Key West was a good Key Lime Pie is never green.

Make sure to use Nellie and Joes Key lime juice

Nellie & Joe's Key Lime Pie

9" graham cracker pie crust
14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk
3 egg yolks (whites not used)
½ cup Nellie & Joe's Key West Lime Juice

Combine milk, egg yolks and lime juice. Blend until smooth. Pour filling into pie crust and bake at 350º for 15 minutes. Allow to stand 10 minutes before refrigerating. Just before serving, top with freshly whipped cream, or meringue, and garnish with lime slices.
