I know its a highly debated topic on here but here's my take.

I got to the UF vs. LSU game basically every year. I've been to TS numerous times. The most recent trip was in 2009 (missed the '11 game) and had prime seats. That was a night game and it was the first game after Tebow got knocked out by that Kentucky player. Crowd was hyped and was a pretty fun atmosphere all day. We are in our seats before the game and a few LSU fans approached us and actually welcomed us to Death Valley and wished a great weekend in BR. We were cordial back and never had any issues with anyone during the game. I left BR that weekend thinking that LSU had a pretty good fan base and were more civil than some of the assholes I have encountered at other venues.

I think LSU fans congratulating SB after last nights win was classy and great. LSU has 6 national titles in baseball and has been there before. These are kids playing at a no name school and every one of them just had the best moment of their lives. It speaks volume that in defeat, LSU fans can still see the greatness in sports.

You guys should know that LSU will probably be back in Omaha next year and Stony Brook will fade back into whatever conference they came from this year. Let them enjoy it, wish them well, and get ready for Kickoff....

I agree. Those kids will remember that for the rest of their lives. It is nice to think that they will have fond memories of Alex Box and LSU.

Maineri needs to fire Javi and hire a coach that teach the players how to execute the aggressive offense Maineri likes. All Javi does is make Maineri look like a dumbass and Maineri reinforces that assumption bt continuing to call the same plays like his pwrsonel changed overnight and can execute the calls.

Well said.

Anyone who can't appreciate what Stony Brook accomplished was pulling against Rocky Balboa in the movies.

I gives props to SBU, they were better and i admit it, but how do our players feel that are crying in the dugout watching their "fans" SMILE and high-five Stoney Brook

No, because they didn't earn their trip to the National Title Game. They were there by default.

Stony Brook has more than earned the right to play for the Championship in Omaha.

Kinda fricked up that we let them take a victory lap on our field, but also extremely classy of the fans to congratulate them. They were the better team.

That's just not true. How can you say Alabama didn't deserve to be there? Name one team more deserving of Alabama that should have played LSU in NOLA?

If Alabama had won the game in Tuscalossa by 3 in OT, the BCS would have put LSU in the title game as a re-match.

Our head coach stayed in the same corner of the dugout pouting by himself for the final 5 innings of the game, and it's not like this was a win stolen from them in the last inning and they were shocked. The players knew this was coming.

They've already said, via Twitter, how great they thought it was.

Jesus quit comparing a uper regional to the biggest game in college football history. There's a different feel to a baseball game than TS with 90 thousand people.

An appropriate "congratulations" would have been maybe a standing ovation or something along those lines. Having them do a victory lap around the field and giving them high fives for embarrassing us at home is overboard. These guys aren't the damn t.c williams titans or terminally ill cancer patients. They're just another ball team that kicked our arse this weekend.
