We were a dropped popup away from being swept at home in front of our cocky intimidator. It's a pretty big deal when David owns Goliath.

tiny little team from NY who has 7 players drafted by MLB this year goes into BR and dominates LSU to make its first CWS ever......I am thinking compliment and a good cinderella story.

This. They outplayed us in every aspect of the game. Wish them nothing but the best in Omaha.

Better question is: what happens from here? does maineri make any coaching changes? what about the incoming recruits? who is going to take Nola's place as the leader of the team next year? Just some food for thought.

The question is why are we out coached, outmanned and outplayed by any team, much less a team with the resources ofbSB. They are head and shoulders better than our team in every facet of the game! Why????? Not the fans fault for sure!!

^This. It is difficult to accept the loss, but what a great year we had. SEC Champions, etc. SB played very well and I think they have a shot. They really do swing the bats well and their pitching and defense are very good. Hats off to them and good luck.

How much of this is due to the difficulty in college baseball recruiting? It is very difficult to compete against the MLB. Perhaps LSU needs to change its recruiting philosophy?

I think there approach at the plate will serve them well in Omaha, but I think we made there pitching look way better than they actually are.

F'ing this! Changes need to be made. Don't have the talent, coaching to compete at the upper level, anymore. When I say SB made us look bad, the score really doesn't reflect the difference. They were faster, smarter on the bases, and very technical at the plate. It was a clinic.
