Perdido Key Pass

I was in orange beach/perdido key last week and noticed a lot of people diving/snorkeling along the rocks on the side of the pass. Most had spear guns. Anyone know anything about the spear fishing here?

I have been fishing and snorkeling there, different times. Never spearfished.

Redfish, flounder, trout, and I think one mangrove on that trip. Here is a pic of some of them.
