Perhaps.

I know for a FACT, however, that this fan base needs to read some self-help books. Our collective self-image is in the toilet.

C'mon.

Wait a second . . . USC fan? Fan of the no-peat?

You need to send some vibrations over to LA.

Can you send vibrations to LA? Is that like sending rain here?

No, but the people extracting the same quote from an interview and posting on the internet saying things like "See! He LOVES new orleans!" are beyond silly and is in no way any more substantial.

It's as if people already assume that the guy doesnt like it here and it suprises them when a guy says something like that.

But see . . . now you're sort of changing your tune. I have no way of knowing what the guy really wants. I'm pretty confident, however, he'll be content in N.O. if the money's right and they're winning.

No, my tune is still the same.

A person can be "content" and still wish he lived and worked somewhere else, right?

The guy doesn't like the city and it's obvious.

... but if it helps you make it through your bowl of cheerios we'll just say he loves nola for the sake of keeping the sunshine pumping

The man's choice of words show his lack of enthusiasm in my opinion, and that's ok. It's very understandable. Not many people outside of new orleans would choose to move there to work. It's not a nice place to raise children, work, live etc compared to most sports towns.

eta: People say things like "it's pretty good" when they don't like something (a job) but they want to sound positive to please other people when asked if they like something..

You're still slightly backtracking. I suppose you could go to every single NBA city and find star players who are fine living in that city during the season but who would not make their home in that town. And they live elsewhere in the offseason. They may prefer to live at the beach, or in a more urban area or in their hometown. Who knows? But the tenor of your posts goes beyond that.

My point if that there is no objective evidence to suggest that Gordon dislikes the idea of living in New Orleans anymore than he would anywhere else. We can speculate that he'd like to live in his home state of Indiana. But we would be speculating.

It's pointless to argue in your current state, VOR. You need your head up your own arse to get the correct perspective.

Obviously this offseason will tell us all we need to know of EG10's long term plans.

If he signs a multi year extension (whether we are just matching someones offer or the club and EG work something out themselves.)

OR

He just takes the qualifying offer...

No, im not backtracking in the slightest way.

If you can't read between the lines then you just can't read between the lines I guess.

Saying "He loves nola" is indeed your speculation.

I may be mistaken, but I don't think I've ever said that.

ETA: BTW, like someone else suggested, the guy is playing both ends against the middle. He wants anyone and everyone who's interested to bid for his services.

Not singling you out to say that you said he loves nola, but you have to admit that any little snippet of what he says about nola (or what any new orleans team pro athlete says for that matter) is magnified and sugar coated by the fans

eta: ftr, i am a hornets fan. I want to see them win as much as anybody.

Look dude, we get it. You hate this city. That's fine. You have a right to your opinion.

There's no fricking need to tell us about it all the time and shite in our Cheerios. It does no one any good.

Just keep the shite out of the board. Keep it to yourself. Blast Nola on the OT if you want. Just keep that pointless crap off this board, please.

Meh. It's just a reaction to the guys who were taking any little sign and saying Gordon hates N.O.
No one really knows.
