The decision to relocate seemed to work out okay for him.

Seattle actually had some bad arse crowds back in the day at Key Arena/Seattle Center Coliseum. On par with OKC's.

1) im pretty sure he lied saying he wasnt going to move the team if he bought them. In order to get it

2) the last person who gives a shite about what happens to the team afterwards is the guy selling it so the point is moot

Yeah, the fans here were great before Howard Schultz intentionally drove the team into the ground before selling. There were a few seasons where it seemed as though he was intentionally fricking everything up in order to alienate the fans and create an exit strategy for the team. People forget how good the atmosphere was before all of that

Howard Schultz and Stern are more to blame than Bennett IMHO. He obviously never had any intention of keeping the team here.

Seattle has always had great fans.

The lottery has been good to OKC. The draft needs to be changed.

Naw.

If he was really scum he would have kept the Seattle Sonics trademark instead of giving it back to the city.

But seriously, who woulda guessed Seattle would be a casualty of Hurricane Katrina?

Agreed. A liar and theif is glorified in a city and may end up with a title after making Seattle suffer.

OKC hasn't moved up with the lottery since the team has been in Oklahoma. What's worked for OKC is drafting the right guys and developing them. I thought Westbrook and Ibaka were big time reaches.

They traded well, bringing in Perkins and getting Nenad Kristic the hell out of town along with Jeff Green.

I also find it ironic that a NOLA fan would be bitching about the lottery after winning it.

yep a lot of people didn't agree with westbrook and harden being picked as high as they were. sam presti and the staff did a great job picking those guys.
