Why doesn't Steve Perry sing anymore?

He doesn't have to have the band. He has such a great voice. I don't know why he disappeared. I just watched some asian sing with the band Journey, WTF?

I didn't read anything about throat cancer. I also had no idea that he was 62/63 yrs old!

I believe he's still performing, just not the Journey tunes anymore for the reason stated above. Apparantly he's too proud to have the band tune down a 1/2 step.

In terms of describing someone from Asia, I would hope it's ok. Like call me a Mexican if I was from Mexico, or a Southerner since I am from the South.
I would hope calling him a Filipino would be ok by the logic, but not a whereverese since he's not from wherever.
I would hope using the terms as a weapon or as a 'sly' sort of barb, then the poster should be berated.
