That is, assuming that R. Livingston is NOW willing to sit down for a "meal," with J. Jones!!!
This is not a good thing....and JJ must have known, this guy survived the "UNT Smell Test," even assuming its the "degree lie!"
I don't get it......how could he have avoided scrutiny at his previous school...unless this is a new lie...and assuming that rumor is true.
This can hurt LSU MBB...and I'm hoping it it ONLY a "degree lie.." and not more..strange it took so long to detect

The reason it took so long to detect is that it is not a requirement for the job, so no one check up on it.
It's like if I'm applying for a sales position and I throw in there that I'm a CPA. You probably won't check to see if I'm really a CPA, because you don't really care.

I actually heard a good point when they were talking about Randy Livingston the first time as it regards recruiting. Basically, Jones and Livingston have the same connections over the same areas. Why do you need two guys to do that job? You need another guy with ties to a different areas to expand your recruiting zone.

In an interview I heard/saw with JJ bout coaches for his staff, he pretty much ruled out bringing in any coach who didn't have college coaching experience.
Now, how the late date of this current event factors into any JJ decision...who knows.

Let me get this straight. You fire one guy because he says he has a Masters and doesn't so you can hire another guy who doesn't even have an undergraduate degree? May make sense to you but not to me.

It's not the degree, it's the academic dishonesty. And Livingston has a degree now.

It would be interesting to know who discovered it and reported it. Still something doesn't seem quite right. Perhaps a little infighting going on.
