Deadliest Catch Fans?

Opie season is going to be epic. Brutal winter, cut off finger and a man overboard.

Elliot will still be trying to fill his quota of Blues while everyone else is fishing for Opies. He will probably be looking for king crab in the Gulf of Mexico when they show him next.

How did that guy get / still have a job? I wouldn't let him captain a jon boat.

The show has gotten a bit repetitive. The quota rule from a few seasons ago is to blame. They are trying to keep it fresh by showing the the Seabrook and Ramblin Rose more and the Northwestern and Meth Bandit a little less. Thats cool because I admire the guy on the Seabrook and it's fun to watch the adventures of Elliot. The previews for the Opie season look awesome so I won't miss it. At least it's not scripted. If it is, hats off to the guy who volunteered for the finger.

Jake Harris probably volunteered for the finger gig to score some pills.

What happened to the greenhorn who got airlifted by the Coast Guard? I missed where they gave an update.

He called Keith and thanked him for the opportunity. He seemed like he was out of the danger zone but they were still running tests. They didn't say if it was dehydration, a seizure, or something else. He said he didn't remember any of it.

He called the boat and said he was better and they were running "all kind of tests".
My $0.02 is the guy pulled a neck or upper back muscle and then FREAKED THE frick OUT!!! His hands that they kept showing can easily be explained with hyperventilating. Causes spasms in hands and feet, also causes the facial numbness he kept talking about. They never said if the guy was seasick or not though. Dehydration can do that too. Seems that they would have shown the obligatory "greenhorn heaving" sequence though if he got seasick.

If that kid would have died, I think the captain would have been legally responsible, for forcing him back onto the deck. Even if the kid signed a waiver, negligence can still be found.
Though that other shitbag greenhorn should have lost some of his pay for walking off the job twice.

It gets a little repeditive but at least it feels genuine on candid for the most part unlike some of the other dangerous job shows.

That's what I figured happened too.
I still laugh when I think of him getting Keith to help him piss before he was lifted up on the Coast Guard helicopter.
