I keep seeing the ads on TV when I am at the gym. I think they advertise on Fox and it is some Alex Jones/dollar crash shite. As JR says, if you're into this, buy gold. I think the more interesting thing about this type of doom is that you have people from all camps...religious nuts, Ron Paul/Alex Jones fanatics, others on the right just simply convinced Obama is a Manchurian candidate...and survivalists of all kinds of backgrounds (subsistence farmers and/or gun nuts, for example) convinced that things are going to collapse in the next five years.

I've seen that commercial for a year and a half. I haven't watched the video but you're just getting around to watching it?

I have seen it and the there are some pretty valid points being made. There is some factual basis to what is stated and it just comes down to whether you buy into the conclusions made, and the solutions. Seems to be scare tactics mixed with a sales pitch, but who knows, may be viewed as prophecy in a few years.

I am very familiar and versed in Alex jones. However I have not seen this particular film. Guess I could watch it....even though I know what he is going to say.

Personally, as much as I want to believe it (maybe that's the Wong word?), in the end I believe one thing.

If "they" collapse the system and start a new one, it will have to be a system of production. Meaning, everything cannot come grinding to a hault, even elitist will suffer.

Of course there is the population reduction, throw everyone in death camps theory

Yeah, he is talking about US currency. I don't buy into all of the scenarios he describes, but I am far from educated enough in these kinds of things to know for sure. Some truth to much of what he says though, but I am not sold on his predictions.

My opinion is, if the system is going to collapse and we are all super fricked, good luck on getting the gold you "own" through a electronic transaction you placed through a broker.

At a certain point, if everything is going to turn into a wasteland no matter what, then it doesn't matter how smart you were when you used your electronic funds transfer to buy this or that asset, because no one is gonna give a frick unless it is hidden in your bunker and its surrounded by your grandfather's arsenal.

At that point, the only things worth a frick are farmers, electricians and mechanics
