I think it may have been in '03, but can anyone remember what team the fans urged to take a victory lap around the Box after we beat them in the regional championship? It was some obscure team, and I remember being there, but for the life of me I can't remember which team it was.

I was there, basically started because they beat Tulane in one hell of an elimination game and kept LSU from having to play Tulane to advance to the super regionals. This was back when Tulane was relevant in college baseball and a huge rival of course. They had just knocked LSU out of the tourney in Skips last year, in the supers at Tulane a few years before. All the LSU fans pulled for and cheered on the Seahawks? I believe. Ol Rick Jones was given hell that day.

Was it Zeringue or Patterson that blasted the walk off?

I remember that distinctly, that team played their arse off. Our baseball fans certainly acknowledged it as well, it was pretty cool to see. Our baseball fans always appreciate great effort even if it's from the opponent (doesn't hurt when you punk out Tulane).
