I don't understand why you would want to get rid of the name?
Because it doesn't sound New Orleans?

I do like the Fleur de Bee, but the Hornets name should've stayed in Charlotte. There are plenty of times when people call us Charlotte. NBA 2k11 even called us the Bobcats. It's time to do something completely new that can truly tie this team to the city.

I don't like those names. I want something unique that isn't terrible. There's still plenty of time to get something done and I believe they'll come up with something good that the fans can like.

I've been a big supporter of the Brass. It's been long gone from this city as a team name.

Brass is the only name I've heard that I didn't despise. Unfortunately, I have zero faith that will be the name that is picked. I'd rather be safe and stick with a good name like Hornets than going for a 1-5% chance that we get "Brass," with the more likely outcome being something awful like "Angels" or "Krewe." So I guess while I believe Brass>Hornets, I also think Hornets>every other lame suggestion I've heard and it's not worth the risk.

No it will be the Spirit of New Orleans! The logo ca be one of many New Orleans icons. It covers all the bases. Not just the fleur da bee.

Hornets will be in New Orleans next year, atleast.
