Revo S -> $99
ETA: If that's too much just get an H20.

Looking for $200 or less for the reel, kinda new to this but would like to get a good setup. Like the All-star saltwater rods

Get a Revo and you'll be happy you did(check the board for the topic on them).

Curado E series from eBay.

Shimano Curado is hard to beat at $180.

I use older Curados or Symetres for everything I catch. If it happens to be too big, it spools me or I jam it and save line.

Ambassador 4600.
Durable and can put any kind of string. Beat that thing up all day, or night.
Just hose off after use

I'd love to have an inshore, but they're pricey. Definitely a badass reel

Ambassador 5500C if youre not worried about being the coolest guy in the marsh.
Boats wont like this, but i killed my revo last weekend. Levelwind blowd up.
The shimano calcutta is what tge redfish tourny guys use, but you better be ready to dump the wallet.

Yes, my dad and I use the inshore, s, and sx. We use them for redfish and trout. Love these reels.

I bought one from a dude on eBay for cheap with the levelwind not working right. Ended having half of a couple teeth on a gear mashed. Fixed it with an xacto knife and it's worked fine ever since.
The levelwind in my brother's Orra is just about shot though. I try to keep a little oil on mine

Mine gets caught on the left side and stays there. Granted, I have the cheapest one they make and Ive never heard of anyone else having trouble with em. My last one though. Going back to the 5500's with the side button.

Same thing happening to my brother's Orra. And it happened to his black max. Never had a problem with any of my Abus except a refurbished silver max

quote:Bad pawl. You can sometimes place a tiny piece of anything(I use flat end of toothpick) under the cap and srew it back on. I have a black max in need of a new pawl and have no source at the moment.
