How do I prevent wildlife from eating/killing my plants? I think it's squirrels doing the damage. They killed my zucchini plant, pulled jalapones off the plant, and broke parts my belle peppers. I don't know if this help but it's already fenced in to keep the dog out. Any ideas on how to prevent future damages would be appreciated.

tree rats don't normally bother squash or zucchini . for that matter they don't normally bother bell peppers either .

corn on the cob stuck to a tree, ground blind, case of your favorite beer, pellet rifle and the will to sit the food plot all day.

I wish I had pest to hunt. No squirrels dillos or anything. About once very three years my border collie gets after the stray possum but that's about it.

Nothing fun to shoot.

I got plenty of pests and my rather week mater plants are about to be left unguarded for a month. My daughter may come over and water em but I fear the tree rats will have their way.

Unguarded for a month. Casualties will be heavy.

mine are getting tore up too, birds eating tomatoes, something pulled almost every leaf off of my jalapenos but left the peppers. Tried a fake owl but the birds could give two shits.

Land mines...

But seriously get some mesh or netting to put around the fruit. If they're just eating the fruit, that will work.

I doubt squirrels would be eating your fruit though. It could be rabbits, so make sure there are no holes being dug under your fence. If it's birds, get them a bird bath to play in; all they want is the water out of your tomatoes.

I think rabbits and squirrels would both also be repelled by coyote urine, which I think they sell at academy. Or get a coyote!

Good luck and keep us posted

Try those tin pie plates. Tie them on a sting so the wind can blow them. Works on most birds which is what will prolly eat your veggies.

I will condition my post by stating that I am a south louisiana coonass who grew up with a sugar field as a back yard. I live in a really nice subdivision inside the BR city limits. Use a .22 with rat shot. Wake up about 530 and bust their arse.no one will no and the rat shot will do the trick. Took me 2 years, but i got all the little bastards eating my tomatoes and eggplant. My little boy loved it. He was my scout. Would wake him up and we hunted them.
