The dude is having a phenominal year. He produced the exceptional Killer Mike album "R.A.P. Music" and his new album "Cancer 4 Cure" is incredible. Any fans of hip hop should definitely check out his work.

Been a fan of him since I heard Company Flow's 'Patriotism' on Soundbombing II.

Killer Mike - R.A.P. Music [probably the best hip hop track of 2012]

Co flow was amazing. It was a sad day when they broke up. Ive seen el-p and the def jux dudes live a bunch, my friend in humboldt used to dj for mr lif. El was kind of a dick when i met him, but lif is cool as shite.

They never broke up, just went on hiatus. In fact they played a few shows this year.

I honestly think his work on the Killer Mike album is his best yet.

Um, they broke up. Theyve done like 3 shows in the last 5 years.

The can ox album was amazing and far ahead of its time. Nothing he does will top it.

Not trying to argue about if they did or did not. I just know from what I've read, there was no animocity and they went their separate ways. You may be in a better positive to know differently.

They played in April at Bonnaroo and were supposed to play in Chicago and ATP, but had to cancel due to death in the family.

The production for the two albums served a different purpose. On Cold Vein the production was more in the foreground. On RAP Music, it's a little more subdued because Killer Mike is a better rapper.

Love his production. He's a little abstract lyrically but it goes with his beats.

Agree on the Can Ox album. Way ahead of it's time. Vast Aire is very lyrical but his delivery is not the best. Vordul is solid. The production was something out of nowhere in the time period.

Killer Mike is a beast and I was pleasantly suprised with how he and the beats meshed.
