Palmer sounded like the only guy that did any research into the team

Also Kirk Herbstriet was being an asshat that entire segment. frick that guy.

he's not that bad imo

I agree that Palmer seems to dig deep into his research.

Also, i gotta admit that we really do not have a true #1 wideout as of right now.

Ive never been one of the "Espn hates us/Kirk hates us" kind of guys. I usually dont mind him and hes a pretty good announcer but that entire segment was him talking out of his arse and he was literally laughing on camera at the Jan 9th debacle and just came off douchy

But I agree with the WR point and some other questions that were raised but i also think we hae a possible answer for those questions

I wish they would have talked about the defense a bit more. Specifically the Linebacker situation

What do you think would make a true #1 wideout that we don't have on our roster? Is it just size and measurables? Or the number of catches/yards?

Personally, I think OBJ has established himself as a true #1 with the performances he's had. He does not have experience and a proven history, but he has shown the tools and talent to make the plays that I look for from a #1 wideout. And as far as production goes, that's all relative imo. If Randy Moss is playing for a triple option offense and only catches 20 passes, he's still a #1 wideout; he's just not a very highly utilized one.

He better because he wasn't much of a jock. Did he ever play after high school?

I'm saying that we don't have a guy that has experience as being the primary receiver. I think OBJ has all the talent in the world. But, I want to see how he handles taking on double coverage now that RR2 is in the pros.

the simple answer was that Les was not going to bench his baby JJ no matter if Drew Brees was on the roster

I thought that Herbie was pretty much spot-on with his assessment.

That was an LSU pity party. After getting Alabama into the title game now they are talking about LSU and about buying into our team. Soo full of shite. And I love how Palmer said USC was better then us and would have been a better match up against Alabama.

Why are they still talking about last year. That's means nothing come september. USC would have what?? Then there would have been 2 teams that didn't deserve to be there.
