Welders in Baton Rouge
Posted by tigersaint07 on 5/25/12 at 4:22 pm00
Does anyone know of a good welder in Baton Rouge? I'm looking to repair my aluminum boat and would like someone who is affordable but will do a professional job. I appreciate any suggestions.

Don't know if I would want to skimp to much on my boat.

I got a welding machine after last fall's graduation. Never welded aluminum, but if you buy me the spool gun I will give it a shot. I wouldn't ride in a boat that I welded on though
There are welding shops that generally take a while to work on stuff, and mobile welders that charge an arm and a leg, but will get it done quickly
I searched and found this list:

I do know that there are 2 shops on 19 on the way to Slaughter

There is a guy on the corner of Airline and Hwy 44 in Gonzales. I think his name is Templet. He welded my goosneck hitch in my truck. Don't know if he does aluminum. But worth checking.
I'll see if I can find some info.

I don't know what part of baton rouge you are located, but there is a guy on hwy 22 near the diversion that has a sign outside that he welds at his house. Sign says that he welds aluminum, steel and stainless. Let me know if you want me to get the number.

It'd be great if you could get the number. Thanks

I'll get it, it is just around the corner, but I might not go by it for a couple of days. I will bump this thread when I get it...

On the Spot Welding in Gramercy/Lutcher area. Top notch guy, would treat you right, and reasonably priced. I always called him "over kill Bill", when you leave with it you will not be bringing it back with the same problem.
