TCU just offered him this last week but noticed he has an LSU offer. Wondering why he is not committed to LSU at this point?

Because he's going to TCU.

Well his brother wasn't the most popular figure around LSU.

He's still coming to LSU IMO.

Because he's a national recruit and most national recruits don't commit this early.

Pretty ballsy to wait when you're coming off a major knee injury.

Regardless of how the fans treated his brother, this particular coach stuck by JJ through thick and thin... and the thin parts were pretty bad.

I don't see how Rickey Jefferson could look at LSU and think his brother didn't get a fair shake here.

Exactly. Plus JJ would have gotten similar treatment at every other school.

That can play a part. I can tell you, there are some Destrehan football families that think JJ got good treatment at LSU, and there are some that just see the fan sentiment, and think the opposite. (And even go one step father and think the bar fight suspension was an excuse to get JL on the field for a while. But that isn't that common of a sentiment.)

Now, what the Jefferson family thinks about it all, I haven't heard.

For better and for worse LSU fans have short memories, and a very short patience with its coaches and players. ANY coach or player at LSU can go from savior to idiot in one week. (And sometimes vise-versa.) Compare to a place like Alabama, where the majority will go out of their way to make excuses for their savior coach or player during an off week.

Sort of off topic, but does anyone else think TCU may start getting guys from LA more often now that they're in a major conference? I don't think they'll be competing for top-5 LA guys any time soon, but they've done quite a bit of recruiting here over the years with the less well-known players.

Yes they will. Won't be before too long you're trying to go to sleep and you can't because TCU dominated your weak team. Major conference. Winning Past. Great coach. Great staff. Great facilities. SEND PLAYERS TO NFL. Mark it down. TCU > A&M in 3 years.
