I don't see Tebow on that list.

Very interesting. I know Myers is good but I guess I don't appreciate him enough even if they're overrating him. I would never have thought he'd be in the top 75 on this list, or on it at all really

Im curious as to what the basis of the list was. It looks terrible without context

After much individual prep work and a marathon discussion between Neil Hornsby, Khaled Elsayed, Ben Stockwell and Sam Monson, a Top 101 was created using these criteria:
• It was based solely on 2011.
• It was based on an ethos of all positions created equal. This isn’t about the most valuable players, otherwise there would be a lot more quarterbacks. This is about looking what is expected from a position and who most exceeded that.

any list in which Patrick Willis isn't the top defensive player isn't right IMO

I don't know about that but Revis Allen Ware and Willis are a CLEAR top 4.

Interesting to see so many interior offensive linemen instead of just left tackles.

3. Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints
I'm a homer, but you turn in the greatest statistical season by a QB in NFL history on the greatest statistical season by an offense in NFL history and you only rate #3, behind another QB and a DE?

In 10-15 years everyone will remember last season for Brees' record. He'll be #1 as the years pass

You're probably right, but it still pisses me off the way last season went down. Seemed like the media spent the entire year trying to justify why Brees wasn't the MVP rather than why Rodgers was. I can't help but think if Drew Brees played for the Dallas Cowboys, that whole thing would've went down a lot differently. End Rant.

Rodgers had a better season statistically. Brees threw more passes

Four Penn State linebackers unless I missed Dallas' Sean Lee

Big Ben at 48 makes no sense at all

Greatest statistical season ever.

I'm as big of a Saints homer as you'll find, but this is 100% truth. Rodgers is #1 until further notice.
