Need xbox help

Son's Xbox won't read discs and keeps saying open tray error. Anyone have any suggestions or had this problem. I'm not a gamer, so any help would be appreciated!!

I didn't take offense. Instead of saying I'm not a gamer, should have said I don't know a thing about Xbox.
