Shitty trailer, but I think the movie is going to kick arse!
And is the cinematography in the film not AMAZING?

Yeah, the trailer is crap but I'm looking forward to this movie.

I believe so. I was anticipating a return of Blofield (because we all know Quantum was another name for SPECTRE), but apparently whoever owns the rights to the character never wanted to release him.
Of course, as stupid as QoS was, I do believe they could've went somewhere with the Quantum organization angle. Too bad we'll never know and too bad things will be left unresolved.

Maybe Skyfall will be like Goldfinger in that it takes a detour from the Quantum stuff and the movie after picks it back up. I thought it would've been an excellent storyline to have going forward with Bond battling a SPECTRE-like organization over the course of multiple films.
The cinematography does look great...I hope David Arnold doesn't screw up the score again.

You don't have to worry about that. Arnold is too busy working on the Olympics. Thomas Newman is scoring the movie.

Totally thought I saw Ralph Fiennes next to M and it turns out it totally was. Just looked at the cast, this movie is as star-studded as any Bond film ever. Just Judi Dench, Fiennes, Bardem, and Albert Finny have combined for 16 Oscar nominations and 2 wins. Impressive.

This is an excellent point that I hadn't seen before. I know QoS gets a ton of hate, but I thought the multi-film arc of the Quantum organization had a ton of potential. As has been said, it was reminiscent of the older (and in most cases better) films in the series. Perhaps they'll make a return in the next film

As someone else pointed out, it's the name of his family manor in Scotland.
HOWEVER, I always thought no reference to that would be made. But after viewing the trailer (seeing Javier's character fleeing a burning mansion) and seeing what appeared to be Bond running from gunfire inside of a mansion, I can't help but wonder if that will be worked into the plot somehow. Considering MI6 will be under attack due to skeleton's in M's closet, perhaps whoever is behind the threats will also target the Skyfall mansion (since they'll have easy access to all of the government's - and their employees' - most confidential information).
