WE have to lock up the state before we reach out in other schools back yards. I know LC did not fall into this but he was being controlled by a power which has taken over all of us at one time..P#@@y. The QB Johnson is in Auburns back yard. We will spend all the attention on him and he will say on the last day he's going to Aubun. Then we will settle for some 6'7" 290lbs QB who will never play a down at QB...I say we cover our bases and keep the good recruits home.

Agree for the most part but some positions have to be gotten from OOS and we can't ignore them until we lock up the instate kids. We'd be in serious trouble if we relied only on LA kids. Not enough at every position on a yearly basis to do that. LB was an area before the last 2 years, QB has always been an area and the past 2 years DT has been poor in LA.

The Johnson scenario is twofold. One we have to go OOS for a qb if we want a top level type guy but Johnson was always someone most felt was a risk because of his love for Auburn. That was the primary reason a lot of us were against him being so high on our QB board. Waste of resources. All the work our staff put in and at the drop of a dime, he's off the board.

Hope Mickey turns it around. His own teammates said he was lazy. He can lift a house but I guess time will tell.

Yeah last home grown QB we got from louisiana was JJ. some positions we have to go oos. QB is a prime example. Not too many recent highly ranked QB's in louisiana.

I'm not saying that there is not some decent ones but no mannings, etc.....lately.

We have arguably the best player instate already committed. Last yr this time all this board did was freak out over Diarse and bama.

This fanbase loves misery. The majority would rather bitch about who we didnt get instead of being excited about who we did get.
