Am I the only one confused by the SEC Bracket?

If LSU is suppose to play the low seed winners of Game 1 and 2, what do the high seeded winners do?

For example, say Arkansas and Kentucky win. We play Arkansas, according to the bracket. But who does Kentucky play?

Well, Kentucky gets a day off if they win. LSU ends up having to play in back to back days. How is that fair? Because, if Kentucky were to win they would only have to play Tues, Thurs, and then Sat. No back to back games? WHAT?

What is the point of a bye?

It's a pretty stupid setup, wish it was still at 8 teams

It may not be the fairest of ways to draw it up, but it puts both 1-0 teams together from that side of the bracket. i dont think that day off for whoever it is is really going to hurt us/help them. baseball is not a sport where a day off can make a world of difference. each team will have burned 1 pitcher at that point and i say if we win game 1 we wanna get right back out there and keep rolling.

ETA: the only real advantage i see it giving them would be the bullpen factor, which i think we can work around. if we have a blow up game on wednesday, we wont be playing them thursday anyway.

And if LSU wins it only has to play Wed, Thurs, and Sat. Not that big of a difference.

Do you follow any pro sport? It's like having playoffs at the end of the season.

Are we not SEC champs if we don't win the tourney? What is the winner called? Is it just like an exhibition?

ETA: Oh, so its a play-in for the SEC seed in the actual tournament?

We are the sec regular season champions. If we win the tourney, then we are the tourney champs. We won the sec tournament from 08-10. They are two different crowns.

College Baseball is and always will be, the most passionate sport in the country. Coming from someone who was 6 years old in Omaha above third base line when Morris hit the HR, watched it twice today already. I just don't see that with any other sport.

The regular season determines the seeds for the SEC tournament, just like any regular season does for the playoffs. The winner of the SEC tournament gets an automatic spot in the NCAA tournament. However, the tournament committee tends to not put much emphasis on the tournament outside of the automatic team that they have to put in.

Thank you. That's exactly what I said and freaking bbap is being McDouche over there.

That's your opinion, and I can see where your stance comes from. But college baseball just isn't a big enough deal nationwide to be considered more passionate than college football.

Is just a bad question. "I could've given you more shite than I did. As it is I just asked if you were a woman because that would at least explain it.

I'm not the one that first asked the question. Just jumped on the question bandwagon because I was wondering the same thing.

I know it might have been a dumb question. You're normally pretty cool.
