With a group of 8, looking for good food. Doesn't need to be dressy, preferably casual.

"McGuires"

I'd second that, always a good meal.

For a group of eight??

The Global Grill downtown is a tapas restaurant that runs rings around the mostly mediocre food places in P'cola. It's even somewhat dressy.

Crabs does suck. Big tyme.

Hemingways is a great casual restaurant, where you can see both the bay and the gulf.

Food is okay, but I dig the atmosphere.

Beach restaurant in every respect. Don't waste your money unless it's for the view.

On my bucket list is the Marina Oyster Barn off Cervantes near Jerry's Drive-In. Anyone had experience with it?

One Pensacola institution that has closed its doors is Skopelos on Scenic Highway. It had been on life support for a long time.

Fish House by far is the best place to eat in Pensacola. Peg legs is the best place on the beach. Cactus flower has great Mexi-Cali food. Avoid crabs, flounders or hemmingways. Mcguires although owned by the same folks that own flounders and crabs is however a great place in the city.

Place is a zoo. Not worth the hassle no matter how good the food.
