Why was our bullpen not up and ready when needed?

Yea, I know Nola was cruising, but hasn't he had problems getting past the sixth inning lately? Sure would have liked to have seen our bullpen finish what he started.

Because our relievers were still running the 10k out to the bullpens. Mainieri said he would plan ahead for that tomorrow.

Takes time to even get to the bullpen there and we had nobody out there, SMH !

Even if you don't need to use the bullpen warming up the relievers gives the opposition something else to think about

Mental EDGE! something we have never regained since the Skipper left

not having a guy ready in time has been a huge flaw for mainieri his whole tenure. always a pitch late

I think I remember Hawthorne saying that all of the Gamecock pitchers were down in their bullpen while ours was empty early in the game. I guess Tanner knows a little more about his ballfield than does Manieri?

Likewise has always driven me crazy. What does it hurt to have the guys down there loosening up? It always seems that the pitcher is in dire trouble before PM sends pitchers to the bullpen.

Thamk you, thank you, thank you. That is my biggest criticism of Maneiri. Does not know when to pull them. Last night, when the left feilder made that catch and threw back to second for the double play, you knew that was a momentum swing. Cruising or not, a smart coach would have gotten someone up and ready in anticipation of this. Not our coach. We learned that last year. At least he is consistent.

Why we choose to keep our RP in the dugout is beyond me. I expect them to be in the pen from inning 1 today (especially w/ Eades on the bump). PM got caught w/ his pants down last night, they'll correct it today.
