Rental Property Question

I am in the process of purchasing some investment property. This is my first time purchasing. Would forming a LLC be recommended or some other type of corporation. Also I have applied for a mortgage with my name and not a corporation. Can I supply my LLC or corporation name at the time of closing or what do I need to do to get this property under the LLC or corporation? TIA

Far from and expert, but I think you want a LLC for each property...
