Like the size. I'll have to check some film. Better be good seeing as we have passed on other TX wrs with similar size and more highly regarded.(not just Massington as I think we may have dodged a bullet there)
We also offered an OL according to 247 bt I have yet to track down who so far.

Anyone know if Ishmael Wilson was the OL offer? Saw some stuff elsewhere and checked a couple of Aggie sites and they are hearing he got offered and may be flipping? Knowing how speculation is in this business, I know not to believe everything on message boards, hence why I'm asking. Saw TSD had something about Wilson as well and putting all this together could it be true? Thanks and I'm not asking for premium info, just if anyone else has heard any word.

You're right. It makes no sense. Why would anyone name their child Kyrion

Not really dodged a bullet but I think I know what you mean. It would have hurt more had we offered, he commits and then moves on to USC once they offer. Very humble every time I talked to him and was just excited at the opportunity to see and play in front of the family he has over there. Wish him nothing but the best.

I have long given up trying to rationalize what people name their kids. Just go through 1 state of a recruiting database and you'll find some real gems.

The Ags 24/7 site is reporting Ishmael Wilson has recieved a game changing SEC offer but I'm not a member so I can't find out anymore than that. I do know that said article was posted at 5:25 pm this afternoon.

That has got to be us right? I can only think of 2 other SEC schools that would game changing offers besides us.

That's what I'm thinking. Should be interesting. This reciever doesn't look to ba either going off his measureables. I really need to get some subscriptions instead of relying solely on this site and YouTube videos.

Ahh yes the AGSWAG movement failing

GW mentioned it on twitter.

Haha tell me you didn't see that coming. All anyone should have to do to pull a recruit from A&M is show them the YouTube videos that have been making the rounds on the SEC Rant lately of those "yell leaders." But seriously let's hope that this game changing offer is as earth shattering as advertised.

I'll never forget Wolverines daily freak outs over LSU not offering Wilson yet

You pegged it right. I will be rooting for the kid as well, just wish he wasn't with USC. Not a fan at all of anything USC but I can hope he does well and hope for them to lose at the same time. The bullet dodged was not just in terms of him jumping to USC but jumping to anywhere. I don't want another Mike Davis/Justin Hunter situation where we have to scramble at the end. I love Massington's talent and always will but am not a fan of indecisiveness in recruiting especially when concerning LSU.
I straight asked Taylor Hamm of the 247 Aggie site and he said Wilson was indeed offered by LSU and they think a flip could be inevitable. I hope. If not then all those people that bashed the fans that uproared when he wasn't offered at Jr day can bash the staff for fricking it up like we did then. If we'd offered then, he would already be committed to us. The thread can be found if they forgot who they are.

Parker transferred to Manvel from a HISD (Magnet) school. Here's an Ahmard Vital (Scout) combine article that mentions him.
quote:
After playing in HISD with the Lamar program, wide receiver Kyrion Parker will be out Highway 6 next year with the Class 4A state runner up program at Manvel. Parker said that he was not aware of his numbers from last year. Not surprising as he also said that ‘no’ programs are recruiting him at this time. But if his play continues to get better based on what was seen on the field today, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Parker should have a number of programs coming by this spring. On top of that, Parker looks to get out this summer as well with camp stops to Baylor, SMU and Texas A&M.

I think we are recruiting the QB from Manvel too...McCarley.
Interesting.
Moreover, Manvel is going to have one of the top (if not the top) TE recruits in the country in 2014.
More interesting.
