I know Lebron has been hated by many, and was never really comfortable with being the villian. Kobe on the other hand, never seems to care what people think of him. My question is, is he still hated a lot? It seems a few years ago more hatred was thrown his way than lebron. I disliked him because of his childish antics in the whole Shaq situation, and then demanding to be traded a few seaons later. ....but now I find myself pulling for him.

I hated #8, #24 just has a great work ethic and an unblockable turnaround.

I have ZERO hate for Kobe. A great ballplayer that plays through pain, and tough as nails the other night playing with the stomach virus and diving to get balls. Top 5 all-time IMO. BRON on the other hand is a TOTAL fail at this point. How he won the MVP is beyond me.

I never had much of a problem with him till I watched him play against the hornets in the playoffs last season. That's when I realized how much of a whiney little bitch he is

He can play, I respect that, nut can't stand him. All the Michael Jordan comparisons makes me sick.

That's my biggest complaint, but that's not his fault. It's the 4 letter monster that does that.

Kobe is nowhere near Jordan. Yes, he has 5 rings, 3 with shaq and 2 with gasol and bynum. My point is, they don't seem like Kobe's. I can't name one other player that has 5 rings, but really no memorable playoff moments. I just don't remember any...am I crazy?

Saying Kobe had help for titles is a silly statement, but every great player had help. It is no coincidence that both Kobe and Jordan worked with Phil Jackson. Scottie Pippen was not exactly a scrub and neither was Dennis Rodman for the later titles.

Kobe has plenty of memorable playoff moments, such as game winners and critical huge games, like any other superstar, but people only remember Jordan's because they are what is on the Gatorade and Nike commecials.

maybe so...I didn't mean to knock the fact that he had help...it's just Jordan's rings seem to be more glorified. When you think of the Bulls 6 titles, you think of Jordan. When I think of the last 5 Lakers' titles I think of Shaq, Kobe, Gasol, and etc.

Maybe you should think of Kobe and Shaq/Gasol because neither of the two big men were there for all five.

Now, Shaq was obviously better than any help Jordan ever had (and Shaq was still better than Kobe at the time), but I would say that Pippen and Gasol are fairly comparable second options and I would give the upper hand to Pippen because of his superior defense and versatility.
