I watched it at the gym yesterday. He was really bad. He hovered around zero for most of double Jepordy.

The part I found most interesting was that they laregely focused on civic, historical and military questions. The number that all three struggled with was shocking.

Well . . . .

quote:

"In 1986, the Supreme Court ruled that the 'hostile environment' type of this can be sex discrimination."

Matthews responded, "What is a hostile workplace?" This brainiac thinks the same word can be in both the answer AND the question
quote:

And then the fun really began in the category "6-Letter World Capitals" with the answer, "St. Basil's Cathedral is there."

Almost astonishingly, the pompous and holier-than-thou Matthews responded, "What is Istanbul?"

The correct response - containing six letters and not eight! - was Moscow.

I'm more shocked that Robert Gibbs got any right. I guess he's not an idiot afterall, just a slimeball.

Do you regularly watch Jeopardy? Winners make similar mistakes almost every day because of the pressure to quickly buzz in.

Do those people also go on national television and make fun of someone else's intelligence by saying that person would not do well on Jeopardy like Matthews did?

Soooooo....you watch Jeopardy regularly, do you?? Good to see your retirement years are being spent so productively.....

I share Matthews's view: Palin is not very intelligent and wouldn't do well on Jeopardy, and I'm confident Matthews would beat her easily almost every time. I'm sure those are your own views, too.

Yes, I'm sure you would NEVER make fun of a Republican who made that mistake on Jeopardy.

Maybe, maybe not. I'm not sure.

What I AM sure of is I would beat YOU easily every time....

Winners don't come in dead last. Matthews sucked at Jeopardy no matter what excuses you provide for him.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. I have an actual trivia bowl television experience.

Yes.

At any rate, the veracity of this thread's title revolves around the meaning of "bombs". I don't think $4600 heading into Final Jeopardy constitutes a bomb, but I can see why partisan dolts would assert as much in Matthews's case.

I would agree if that total is correct. I've seen much worse even on celebrity Jeopardy where the answers are much easier.

Sounds like "embarrassed himself" would be more appropriate than "bombs".

Maybe he just wasn't feeling the "thrill up his leg" that day.....

If all the answers were "Slobbing Obana's Knob", Chris would have taken the grand prize!

" don't think $4600 heading into Final Jeopardy constitutes "

these special jeopardys arent exactly the normal shows. 4600 in these special events isnt ecactly 4600 in a normal day

"but I can see why partisan dolts would assert as much in Matthews's case. "

anyone who wasnt a partisan dolt would say he was terrible. but you have to be you and insist otheriwse
