Picked up this movie from redbox the other night to get some background before seeing Avengers (whenever that happens) and holy shite was this movie terrible. It was like a mix of the last Indiana Jones movie and Spiderman 3. Did anyone actually enjoy this movie? Probably the worst superhero movie I've seen, beating out Spiderman 3 and Daredevil.

It wasn't the best but I enjoyed it. I don't really get all the hate.

+1

It was just too cheesy for me at that point. I didn't even care what happened in the movie and almost fell asleep in the theater.

Watched Thor and CA the night before i went to see Avengers. CA didnt hold a candle to Thor IMO and it was pretty weak by comparison. However as just a movie on its own and not compared to the other superhero movies its not that bad

It felt as if they made this movie around 1997 and then shelved it for 14 years.

I completely agree...it was just so hokey and boring.

Thor was phenomenal...maybe it's just Chris Evans, he's a terrible actor IMO...it's like he's reading the dialogue off of a TelePrompTer and injects zero emotion into it

It has that whole mid 90s Batman movies vibe to it, and those only beat out this movie because they had those cool collectors cups at McDonald's.

I wasn't great, but it doesn't get much worse than Spiderman 3

Like someone said, it wasn't the best, but it was watchable. Caption America was my favorite superhero at one time so I am sort of bias.

I found it unwatchable. Halfway through I ejected the disc and put it back in its Redbox case.

I wasn't blown away by it. It is a comic book movie though. I would have liked a little more development on his team. They just kind of all of the sudden showed up and were this gang of misfit soldiers. Once they got to Europe, it seemed like I was watching a video game or a cartoon more than a movie.

And I don't really get what happened to the villain. Didn't he get what he wanted? He jsut kind of blew up into space.

I still liked it though. It was a super hero/comic book movie.

I enjoyed it and can objectively say it's better than both said films. What did you hate about it?

Captain America is one of my favorite heros, and whether you believe it or not I like Chris Evans as CA. I will say though yes the movie was shite.

IMO, the movie, which I enjoyed, suffered from a time crunch. They had to complete Caps adventures in WWII in one film so that he could be frozen in time by the end, waking up so The Avengers could start.
