im not so sure he would have found that role and worked at it.

My feelings heartbreak. I think he had some tools but lacked some heart and want to.

He had some tools I think his shot was better than we saw last year but even then not enough when you dont play d and make horrible decisions with the ball.

I don't think this is a good thing, but an expected thing. And let's be honest, Ralston was unable to play to his freshman potential offensively last year when we were more talented all over the court with Hickey, O'Bryant, and Hamilton, and he still regressed. I don't think that's on TJ either. Ralston's high point was some streaky three point shooting. He certainly would have helped next years team, and may have started. But he will always be a liability on defense that gets called for early, quick, senseless fouls because he doesn't have the quickness to guard the perimeter. It will only get harder for him in ACC.

Good luck to him.

Maybe he wanted to play for a better than average coach.

Just started following Mark Gottfried's career I presume.

Are we a realistic option and what's the story on this kid? Read the brief synopsis by bubba but don't know anything else.

I've pretty much stopped getting my hopes up for Pollard.

So what is the point of getting a release if you still sit out? Scholarships are only yr to yr so why would it matter? Is it simply to get the priv of visiting schools?? Seems pointless, he knew exactly where he was going to transfer

Transferring from D1 to D1 always means you have to sit 1 year. That's nothing new. He could play next year if he went to a small school.

Granting a release means the school is releasing the student from the contract (scholarship papers) they signed.

I doubt he'll see much playing time. NC State is going to have a shot at winning the ACC next year, they have a MONSTER recruiting class coming in and you have to figure they are just going to be better by the time he can actually play.

'Sunnydase'
Jones's career record is 190 wins 146 loses with a 56% winning record. Little above average coach. Coached in the Sunbelt.
Gottfried's career record is 302 wins 167 loses with a 64%
winning record. Coaches in the ACC. Big difference in conference strength.

I still think LSU settled with selecting Jones.
