I am contemplating offering Beltran/Votto/Vogelsong/Gallardo for Mauer/Cano/Halladay/Downs

Is this a good trade? I think Halladay and Cano are going to start lighting it up and I have a surplus of starting pitching.

It depends on what stats you're wanting. I'll say this, though.

Beltran can not maintain this performance. He's hit his peak. Votto, meanwhile, counterbalances this. Vogelsong and Gallardo are Tier 3 pitchers.

Mauer is on my team and been a dissapointment. He's not driving or producing runs and is kind of stagnant. His .275 average is good, but all singles. I would pass on him. Cano is BEAST and is getting hot now. Halladay is consistent and will grind for you and earn more wins when Utley and Howard are back full strength. Down will NOT be the closer anymore and is worthless.

With that said, I do not think you have any chance of this trade being accepted. You would win this trade by a lot if he accepted.

Ya, Beltran will not average a triple slash of .299/.406/.641 with 59 HR, 152 RBI, and 25 SB.

He will be very good throughout the year if he remains healthy.

ETA: Gallardo is worth a lot more than Vogelsong
