On vacation & I put some cut up chicken breasts marinating Monday night, some in honey teriyaki and the rest in Jamaican Jerk. Is it safe to put on the grill tonight, or did I wait too long?

Also, I'm coming back here next week. Would it be safe to freeze and cook next weekend when I get back?

TIA

I don't think there is a time limit to the marination, but rather just whether the chicken is still good. Was it fresh when you marinated it?

I'm sure by now that the acids and salt in the Teryaki and Jerk have cooked your chicken to a nice medium rare. If it were me, it goes on the grill.

don't remember what the date on it was. I bought a pack at walmart, cooked some and froze the rest immediately.

So you defrosted it and marinated it on Monday? All good. Just grill it good and shite will be great!

I would cook it. The only thing you may notice is a difference in texture due to it being in the marinade/acid so long. Those fibers will be broken down.

Do the smell test. If it smells bad then cook it and then give it to the dogs.

you can marinate it as long as you want. I think the longer the better imo
