Crawfishing Spot

Does anyone have any experience crawfishing the canal running along east side of Hwy 61 (Airline) north of I310/Norco going north to B.R. Returning from G.I. last weekend, took Airline home from I310 and looks like might be able to set crawfish nets and then fish for 15/20 minutes and then run the nets. TIA

It think it's too deep. Try the spillway in the same area.
