It looks very possible that at least one of this weekend's game will be rained out.
Friday is supposed to be good but Saturday is predicted to be a bust and Sunday is iffy.
How much pressure does that put on LSU's trip to USCe?

You are aware that the conference champion is determined based on winning % and not total number of wins or losses, right?

We'll get all three played.

Actually I am. I was just trying to derail the Jefferson hate-fest on this site and generate some baseball talk from reasonable people.
Oh dopey me. I have learned my lesson.

Rainouts are usually a bad thing for the team with less games played at the end of the year. Simple math...LSU & SC have won 66.7% of their conference games. Odds are in their favor to win each game they play. Missing a game will probably drop you off the lead.

Let's hope for a doubleheader Sunday, if needed.

Just win, baby!

Pathetic excuse. There's one Jordan Jefferson thread on the first page.

yes, But if games get canceled, we do not get those potential Ws to improve our percentage.

I'd rather take a chance and try for the W with Vandy.

This sucks, I didn't know about the weather this weekend.

What about RPI or just tournament resume to begin with? It'd be hard for them not to give us a national seed with a conference championship but if we only take 1/3 next week and finish say 18-10(one vandy win), that might put us in a difficult situation. If we sweep vandy and still only take 1/3 it'd put us at 20-10 which would definitely get us a seed imo.

The low is moving faster than expected. Saturday may get washed out but we could get two 7 inning games in Sunday.

Isnt there a rule in the SEC regarding the latest a game can start on Sunday?

Depends on the opposing teams travel arrangements. In this case, I don't think Vandy has class next week so their travel may be a little more flexible.

I don't see why travel time would be an issue, considering both teams will be finished with classes.
