What are the chances we get Travonte Valentine?

It's been said he really likes LSU but who knows. He's already committed and decommitted from two other teams. He's said he was staying home and then said he'd probably go out of state. Toss up between Miami, LSU & Louisville. 247 is predicting Louisville.

this thread is so well done, it sucks !

We need a concise list of all the players, their various star rankings, who they have committed to and who is on their "short list"

2018 DL recruit

Jamal Shearin

quote:

One of the most enjoyable players to watch on the football field is the dominant defensive lineman. These players make life miserable for Quarterbacks, Running Backs, and Offensive Coordinators as they ruin gameplans by beating just about any blocking scheme or misdirection the offense can throw at them. Class of 2018 DL Jamal Shearin is one of those players. The 6’1” 285 pound Shearin is a load in the trenches; He’s big and strong enough to bull rush through double teams, and quick enough to slide outside and beat offensive tackles in pass protection, Shearin has the talent and the versatility to line up anywhere on the D-Line.

quote:

“I need to work on my technique, staying low, not letting the Offensive Lineman get his hands on me,” said Shearin. “Most of my goals are just technique-based.”

quote:

One of Shearin’s goals is to play D1 college ball at one of his dream schools- LSU, Alabama, or Oregon. He loves the defensive identity those schools have and all 3 have a successful program for sending defensive players to the NFL. Shearin works out every day in his efforts to get better in the offseason. He works on his conditioning and lifts weights to hone his athletic gifts to the max. There’s no doubt Shearin has incredible upside and a bright future ahead of him. For now, he’s just a hard working beast of a lineman who enjoys having fun playing the game he loves, and doing what he loves most- hitting Quarterbacks. “I think that should be a field day for any Defensive Lineman,” he said. “Getting to the QB, there’s nothing better than that.”

Daylon Mack, the No. 1 prospect in Texas and No. 10 in the nation for 2015, just received an offer from LSU. This one was a big deal to Mack.

Mack said if #LSU offered, it'd be a "game changer........
Gladewater DT Daylon Mack says Texas A&M should "definitely be worried" about LSU now after today's offer".
