How come Seione Palelei is not listed as offered? I'm sorry Chinese, I'm just reading through all of this and now realized you answered me back in early July. I talked with Palelei's Dad last week at their Scrimmage and he was telling me about his conversations with Coach Miles. He's been offered by Bama and BYU also. Has cousins playing for BYU, but the parents want him close to home.

None of the recruiting services show the offer. I didn't want to change it and cause a stink with people arguing about it the way they sometimes do.

I just talked with Ronnie Clark from Calera, AL. He has an Auburn offer but really wants to go to LSU. His family was displaced by Katrina. Grew up an LSU fan

We put his profile and some highlights on page one when Alabama offered him in July. Didn't know anything about him before then. May have been told, but didn't remember he was a Katrina kid. Glad to hear he likes LSU. Funny (in a good way) he didn't mention the Bama offer.

He is listed as 6'3" 205. Does he look that tall?

Put him in as a safety but he could have possibly gone in as an athlete. Check out this kick return had last year.

Thanks for the info on Ronnie. Will watch him a little closer now.

It's a stacked class but he might be the strongest of them all. It's a very long time until Feb. of 2014. Hope he has a great senior year.

dek81572 posted on page three to let us know he was third in the state in powerlifting as a junior. Posted some videos there too.

Not one person from Catholic High - Baton Rouge? Has the talent level fallen that low there? 22 straight playoff appearances prior to last year and lots of huge names over that time. Sad to see it.

Guys from Michigan and Texas that list LSU mentioned in two linked Free 247 articles!

Couple of guys, one from page one and one on page two, mentioned in this free 247 article.

quote:

Playing in his first organized football game since the end of his freshman season at University of Detroit Jesuit, Top247 cornerback/receiver Damon Webb didn’t miss a beat. Webb made two big plays in the fourth quarter, first forcing a fumble that was picked up by teammate Joe Journey and returned for a score that put Cass Tech up 19-12. His interception with just over a minute to play sealed the game, and he didn’t allow a completion all evening. Webb also scored on a bubble screen he took 46 yards, and a 44-yard trick play he caught from Michigan commit Jourdan Lewis. Webb made a national name for himself this summer attending camps and combines, and this fall it looks like he’s only going to improve his stock. He holds early offers from the likes of Michigan, Michigan State, LSU, Ohio State, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Webb's profile & highlight tape are in with the athletes on page one.

quote:

-Class-of-2015 quarterback Jayru Campbell finished 11-of-24 passing for 160 yards with one touchdowns and two interceptions. He has all the tools to be a special player as Alabama and Notre Dame will tell you judging by the early scholarship offers. Campbell is athletic, several times slipping away from the rush and making a good throw on the run. Also has good velocity, but he definitely made some throws he’d like to have back on Saturday.

Jayru's profile and highlight tape is on page two.

Both linebackers discussed here list The Tigers. Profiles & highlights on page one of this thread.

quote:

Josh Mabin of Klein Oak is coming off an ACL tear last season or else the 6-foot-2, 225-pound junior would have even more than his current offers from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. While he was still slowed a tiny bit from the injury, he was not favoring his knee at all and was able to move laterally quite well. Otaro Alaka at Cypress Falls Otaro Alaka will see plenty of other offers come his way thise season. Mabin is a true MIKE linebacker and is not afraid of contact. He loves coming downhill to fill the gaps in the run game but also showed he could drop well in zone defense. He is a big hitter and made several plays in the backfield. The four-star prospect will no doubt pick up a ton of offers soon and be a national recruit.

quote:

Mabin’s counterpart on the Cy Falls sideline, Otaro Alaka, was just as impressive. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound outside linebacker is incredibly quick off the edge and gave the Klein Oak quarterbacks fits all evening. He was always around the ball and never quit on a play, even making the tackle on plays to the opposite side several times. Alaka was probably most impressive when he dropped into coverage, though. He was able to run with the slot receivers with relative ease. Alaka has early offers from Arkansas, Baylor and Oklahoma State and will definitely see more as well as the season gets underway.

I started adding the 2015 guys that were getting LSU offers on page two months ago. During the LSU camps in June & July I heard about other kids, some even younger, and started adding them. There is one guy who should have been the first 2016 prospect added that just got added today (my bad).

Here is a JuniorRank article about him.

quote:

Kinston Big Man Brian Manuel: Too Powerful for Clichés to Describe

The phrase “he’s a man amongst boys” has long been a saying used to describe someone who, whether physically or skill-wise, is at a level well beyond his peers. And, like all cliché sayings, it’s been overdone. So saying Brian Manuel, an offensive and defensive tackle out of Kinston, North Carolina, is a man amongst boys doesn’t do him justice. He’s a semi-truck and the Tasmanian Devil fused together in a freak science experiment, with the result being 6’4” and 291 lbs. of destructive football force.

Brian Manuel is the son of an LSU alum (Mom) and a Southern alum (Dad). He is a freshman (2016) playing with the big boys. If you go to page two you can watch some of his tape from last year and read a TD's post where his dad told us about him.

ETA:

I hope Mr. Manuel will come let us know how Brian is doing during the season.
