Damn, we'll be sitting pretty if we win these last 2 series.

the more and more I think about it, as long as we win the series this weekend vs Vandy and don't get swept at USC, I think we're a lock for a national seed.

I would love to play Tulane in the regional. I think it is great for the State and rivalry.

Who gives a shite what are seeding is?! As long as we are 1-8, that's all that matters.

Yes, rivalry. ESPN predicts LSU and Tulane in the same regional.

Did you go to the super regional in 2001? It was a great atmosphere. I loved it except for the fact that LSU lost. I wish LSU had a good in state rival, like bama and AU or UF and FSU. Playing each other in big games helps with the rivalry.

As long as they win, it doesn't matter who they play and what the seed is.

BW, unlike college basketball, it honestly doesn't matter which seed you get as long as you're one of the top 8. Just look at the the bracket projections here. When you get to the top 16 teams, they are so close that it's hard to really say who would be the better draw. It's baseball. It's a matter of who has the pitching depth and who can get hot at the right time.

when do the "fire the coach" rats come out again?
after the first super loss or do they wait till next year?

This.

People don't understand that beyond the top 8 seeds, regionals are decided by location first.

There is a reason why those projections have us matched up with Texas AM and why Louisville is always in Kentucky's regional no matter what.

I think if we go 3-3, we are a lock for a national seed. If we go 2-4, taking 1 vs Vandy and SC, it will be close IMO. I think we can realistically hope for 4-6 though.
