Thanks for all of the info U guys gave me in my first thread. Now I'm looking for Hotel info. I want a room for my 21st Anny that is plush. Also, we're gonna be there for 3 days, so we wanna know if there are any areas that we should stay away from. We were gonna rent a 6 Series Bimmer, but I'm not in favor of paying 3 car notes for three days. What advice do U guys have to make this one time trip special?

Thanks in advance Who Dats.

Do not rent a car. New Orleans is the #1 walking city in the nation and maybe even the world. It is very easy to navigate. For hotels, I would suggest either the Windsor Court, Roosevelt, Ritz Carlton.

I have stayed in quite a few hotels in the french quarter and on canal. Nothing ever that was "plush".

If you want a different experience, there are always condos and houses available. I always like to see whats available in that realm when traveling. Check the link for some listings on VBRO.

And i agree, dont rent a car. Its pointless, and you will miss something if you dont walk and enjoy the city.

Those and/or hotel monteleone.

If you don't want a "plush" room then just do the Sheraton, marriott, or Hilton.

And like evderyone else said, if you are staying at one of those hotels, then DO NOT RENT A CAR. You can walk to every restuarant worth going to and the game.

If you are staying at one of the above listed hotels, then you will be in relatively safe areas. Just be smart and don't walk to dark alleys by yourself.

Yeah def don't rent a car. If u want to go somewhere like uptown where u can't walk just take the street car. It's something cool for u to do anyway. If not than its no more than a $10-$15 cab ride to basically anywhere.

Stay in the quarter or CBD.
Windsor Court, Roosevelt, Ritz Carlton, or Hotel Monteleone for the fancy hotels. Or stay at the Sheraton, Marriott, or Hilton if want a decent place to crash that is close to everything. Also, just check out priceline.com for other choices.
