I need more RAM (I'm going to get this regardless) but I thought I should pick something else up as well ($150-$200 range)

My HD is fine, my processor is good. Only thing bad about my pc is the shitty power source

I'm thinking video card but I already have a decent one. Could I use both video cards?

Anything else anyone can think of to improve a PC?

AMD Phenom II X6 1055 T

ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series

4GB something for RAM (upgrading to 16 gb)

my PC is currently in boxed up right now for finals (only way I could keep myself off of it) but from what I remember those are the main specs.

If you have a shitty power supply you probably don't want to upgrade your gpu.

First, you should probably invest in another 4 GB of RAM. 16 is excessive, and you won't experience any discernible performance increases in games by having another 8 GB.

Your processor, as you mentioned, is fine. I would upgrade your GPU to a HD 6870, which runs around $175. Try and stick with Sapphire, Asus, or XFX - LINK

6870 - Ranked 20th on Passmark.

I had a shitty power supply that broke on me one day, it was the most likely cause of my RAM failing issues. One day it stopped working, bought a modular Corsair PSU haven't had an issue yet. More RAM installed will draw more power, if you have any issues with you power supply I would replace that as well. Seems like the best choice as long as you don't want to get a solid state drive for your OS and most used programs.

Any recommendations? Doesn't RAM have to be compatible to the mboard?

from this page, which one would you select? LINK

Yes, but generally, any 1.5v dual channel DDR3 will work.

1600 is fine as well.

I'm gonna agree with the other posters. 600W psu is fine, go 4 more gigs of ram and a new video card.

Depends on what GPU, and how many amps are on the 12 volt rail of that power supply

WOOF!

Upgrade this as stated.

As far as your old video card, don't get rid of it. Save it for a rainy day.

Nice rig also SG.

We are all jelly.

I rather go for the previous refresh of a product. Simply to cut cost.
