Whatever you do, DO NOT stay at the Knight's Inn in Opelika

Most likely sold out already... Small SEC towns you have to book year in advance almost

I booked early at a Hampton or Comfort Suites in Opelika. Two years ago, stayed at Lexington Suites in Auburn (dated, but clean) and very close to campus. Give it a shot.

If everything is booked in Auburn and Opelika (which I assume it is), you may want to check out Phenix City.

Opelika and Phenix City are two of the nicest and respectful cities I've ever visited.

Very Nice RTJ Golf Course in Opelika as well if you arrive early enough on Friday.

Selection is limited and if you do find something in actual Auburn, it'll probably run $250+ a night...

The marriott in Opelika is where I usually stayed before I moved up here. Bham is 2 hours so i usually just drive down in the morning.

The Hotel at Auburn University (www.auhcc.com)is across the street from the central part of the campus and a couple of blocks from Toomer's corner. Several bars and restaurants around Toomers.

It's gonna be expensive and probably require a two night minimum.

I am a long time LSU fan with a son who is a student at Auburn. You get a lot more bang for your bucks staying in Montgomery. Rooms in the Auburn-Opelika area are high priced on game weekends and generally require a 2 night minimum. There are several motels at I-85 exits 6 and 9 in Montgomery, which puts you 45 minutes from Auburn.

I've always stayed in Montgomery. About an hour outside Auburn, but that seriously isn't bad and you are already an hour closer to home.

We usually stay here in Montgomery.

It's a newer hotel. Very nice, further east in Montgomery so you are closer to Auburn and it's fairly inexpensive. I'm staying here this year as well.
